grinding 5th gear?

Default grinding 5th gear?

i have 00 b16 tranny with a quaife lsd, and recently its been grinding 5th gear, does the 5 syncro usually go, i think i hit the shift linkage hard like a couple of weeks ago (damm speed bumps), could the culprit be bent shift linkage? is the syncro and service bulliten? any help would be great

I'd check the shift linkage first then look into the synchos

it might be the linkage...although linkage is hard to bend, you would of had to hit it pretty hard. how often did you grind 5th before this incident?

never really. there was never a reason to shift hard into 5th, i always took it easy, its just wierd that out of all sycros 5th gear goes? it just amazes me
