Default Grinding

Motor: ls/v with gsr tranny competition clutch with 8.5 lb flywheel. clutch/flywheel approx 15,000 miles.

Problem: Grinding at thetop of gears, about 7900RPM

I had a short shifter for a while, but changed it back to oem a while ago. Since then I haven't done anything but "grocery get" in it so I don't know if it's just the long shifter or if something else may be wrong. Just took it out to finally go fast and now it is having this problem.

I guess I'm asking people making over 200whp, if they experience grinding issues with a long shifter. I know it's not me because I drive my friends cars and they don't do that like mine. If I still had the short shift I would just swap it out but I don't. I hate tranny problems, and don't know much about them. Thanks for any help.

I've had 2 tranny's in my turbo single cam, and both of them started grinding at high rpms going into third gear.

Well I've had tranny's that got the notorious 3rd gear grind, but this will grind in second and fourth too so I'm confused.

It's been flushed within the past couple months. No leaks. Full.
