Grind in 3rd gear. Which parts do I need to fix the synchros? (IMG inside)
The grind is not consistent yet, but I know I will have to fix it before long.
2000 si transmission.

So the number 7 set is the whole synchro assembly? I would need all of it just to fix the 3rd gear?

Honda put out a technical service bulletin on this a while back. Take it to the dealer and complain - see if they'll fix it for free or with a big discount.
It's TSB #01-082 (October 2001). I used to have a PDF file of the actual document somewhere, but I seem to have misplaced it.

Great, thanks for the info. I am not sure they would care though since the engine is in a different car. I wonder if that voids technical service bulletins.

I started driving the car regularly, and I found an easy solution until I can afford all my driveline parts. I just double clutch between 2nd and 3rd. Easy as that.
