Greetings! I got an EK! yay!
hey guys... ive been patiently waiting for an eg/ek project car to go h22... well... i just picked up an ek... yay!
its going to be a while before i can go h22... but, im alot farther along now then i was before (at least i have the car now)
anyways... wanted to say "hello!" and i'm going to try to frequent honda-tech more often
heres my ek:

oh... btw... the sun apparently deteriorated the sun visors (especially the drivers side), so, if someone has a pair (or whatever) laying around let me know (for a decent price.. im poor)... and look how yellow the headlights are... dang gone... is that from the sun down here? i just moved to southwest florida a few months ago... well, anyways... i'd rather have a little sun-fadedness than the damn rust from Ohio!!! and i can use summer tires all year round! Yeah! thats after i dig myself out of debt and can actually afford a set of tires
btw, my 99 accord coupe ex v6 is for sale now

Re: Greetings! I got an EK! yay! (supadupamikey)
so... now im curious...
what are all chassis codes? or what is my car at least?
i was under the impression that 92-95 was EG, and 96-00 was EK... i was originally looking for a hatch tho... so, are the codes different for coupe/sedan/hatch? or just for each generation?

"EK" and "EG" are the JDM ones. our 96-00 hatches are EJ6, and our 92-95 hatches are EH2, and EH3 ( si ) our 92-95 coupes are EJ# and our 99-00 Si's we're EM1, im not sure about the 96-00 coupes.

Re: Greetings! I got an EK! yay! (stackz)
I hear ya! That engine bay is FILTHY! I took those pictures minutes after getting the car home... I wanted something to base the before/after transformation on. Later that night, I ended up hitting walmart to pick up a bottle of Simple Green and some razor blades (to get some unneccessary stickers off the windows)... I just haven't gotten a chance to do anything yet.

Re: Greetings! I got an EK! yay! (supadupamikey)
sweet, I got a 97 with 130 on it for 4500 including rota c-8's I going to sell off. Engine runs like new coz owner used mobil1 since 3k.
Car still gets 37mpg too, lol
So once I sell off the wheels, it ended up being only a 4000 to a 4100 dollar car.

Re: Greetings! I got an EK! yay! (97civicdx)
Nice. A few years back I had a 94 civic ex coupe automatic with 130k miles... I made a homemade cai and got 44mpg in it on a trip before... I was amazed! I ran that car hard too! I always got at least 35 with combined city/highway driving... and i hit vtec daily... just about every gear
