Which Greddy Kit for LS/Vtec SMOG Legal
Hey guys, i am needing to move to cali for my job, i just starting building a custom kit for my new EK but now i need something legal.
BEFORE anyone says it, i DO NOT have time to get this custom built and custom tuned, just want to buy a simple Greddy kit that i know will work, connect to my exhaust, and need nothing furthur.
I have built 2 turbo hondas before, installation will not be a problem, just dont want to mess with tuning.
I and running an OBD2a to obd1 to a chipped ECU.
Wondeirng if i should get the
http://www.phantasmusa.com/greddy11550031.html integra GSR Greddy kit
or
http://www.phantasmusa.com/greddy11550022.html Civic 99-00 si kit.
Setup
1997 Civic EX converted to obd1 at the ecu.
91 b16a head
94 b18b block
golden eagle ls/vtec kit
94 b16 hydro transmission
Tapped oil pan (Plugged ATM)

Here is the CA aftermarket parts list CARB legal parts that is...
http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...es/amquery.php
I would check the manufactures list and scroll down to Greedy
Note: the kit has to be for the motor not the car so a 94 integra.
Wait a second........
In CA your set-up will still not be legal. You cannot have an older motor installed. In a 97 the motor has to be a 97 or newer. You will have to be OBDII compliant with all the emissions equipment installed too.

Also I believe head swaps are illegal too but I dont see smog tech taking the time to check the head stamp. Most car enthusiast move out of CA because of all the damm smog requirements. CA even requires smog for diesels now and are talking about smoging motorcycles.
