Greddy Evo II review 92-95 civic
Ok, Ive never seen or read anything about anyone who has had a greddy evo on a 92-95 civic. So, when I ordered teh exhaust, it was kinda a shot in the dark, and I figured that I could write a review from my expirence on it, for future reference for others.
First of all, the car is a 95 civic Dx, the only other mod on it being a twm short shifter.
When the exhaust came, it was in a 4 ft high, 2 ft wide box with "GReddy" and "Trust" all over it, and it weighed about 50 lbs. The exhaust was in 3 pieces in the box, and all three pieces were basically the same as their stock correspondents, except wider, and stainless steel. The muffler, of course was different. In fact, the muffler is the biggest thing on the exhaust, and weighs a good 20-30 lbs. My first impression was "crap, this is gonna look way to big on my car". THe kit also comes fairly complete, with the required gaskets, and bolts. The only thing it was lacking was instructions, but the kit is fairly self explainatory.
When I pulled everything out of the box, and saw how friggen big the muffler was, I though it was gonna look way to big on that small car. But, despite my concerns, I took it to the local muffler shop, and had it installed (because most fo the original bolts were rusted solid after 90,000 miles ) The installation itself took only 45 minutes.
I had been anxious to hear it, so naturally, i couldnt wait till it got installed, and i got a chance to. After my 45 minute wait, i finally got the chance to listen to it.. It was beautiful. Not loud at all. It had a very deep tone, and when you let off the gas, you can hear it drone out. The car almost sounds hollow. Its awesoem. As for the size, its big, but it grows on you. Honestly, though, I cannot feel any power gains.
I do, however have one complaint about the system. In the lower rpms, the muffler can hits the heat shield, Im guessing some pounding of the heat shield will fix this. But other than that, I give this exhaust a 9 out of 10.
I hope this review helped anyone who is considering purchasing the GReddy Evo II.
Edit: I hope to have some pics up later.Possibly even a video clip too.,

I was planning on a mini me, but the entire section of my exhaust from the cat back was shot, so, either spend 400 on a stock replacement, or spend the 100 more for a performance replacement. Or learn to weld.....
