Greddy evo? good or bad
My friend has a 98 ex civic wit a b16a2 and he's thinking about buying a Greddy evo exhaust system. He's wondering other's opinions on the evo, like horsepower gain and sound, do you guys recommend this system or not?

Re: Greddy evo? good or bad (ATL-R)
hehehe
i like it. gains are negligable at the low end. more mid range if anything. Max 6hp on my Si. Of course i have the AEM CAi, DC Sports 4-1 CC headers....so...
it's not annoying loud either...but people will know your coming when your at the higher rpms.
Freeway cruising is nice...if you have the radio on at a decent level, you'll hardly notice the noise. Throttle position makes a big difference when it comes to the noise.

I'm just wondering, which has a better sound, the Greddy EVO or the Tanabe Racing Medallion. I'm contemplating on whether to get either one one my Si. I don't really want mine to sound like a pissed off bee. I liked the Tanabe with it's deep sound but it may be too loud for my tastes. Does the Evo sound like a pissed off bee or is the sound okay?

Re: Greddy evo? good or bad (Hanson)
Thanks...I heard the RM, it sounded pretty deep, but I guess when the VTEC kicks in then it might sound like a that bee thing. Also can I install the EVO myself just using jackstands or a ramp? The tools would be no problem. I just don't wanna spend the money to get it installed at a shop. Or is it just better to get it installed at a performance shop?

Its nothing more than bolts and brackets, is it?
I've ridden in a Civic with Evo, and then the owner rode in my
car with the Dunk, and we both agreed the Dunk is quieter, if anyone
cares.
