Greddy Evo Exhaust Help
I am running greddy evo exhaust with a 2.35 inch straight pipe.....the pipe is getting old and a hole is in it...Since the hole the exhaust has been a little too raspy for me..I was wondering if upgrading my cat from stock to aftermarket would help...or should I put a resonator on the pipe?......I am thinking about getting a new 2.25" pipe but I wanna know if I should have a resonator put on it?...and if I did could I put my stock resonator on it, or should I got aftermarket?....thanks for all the help

get a resonated testpipe.
EDIT: Read the thread wrong, sell the evo muffler and piping and get evo2 catback. Stainless steel piping, so you won't have to worry about the rusting.

Doesn't the EVO come with a resonator? If you're problem is that the car is raspy with a hole in the exaust, replace that peice of pipe, and it will sound like it did before it rusted out.
An aftermarket cat will make it louder (and I'm not sure how that would help quiet an exhaust with a hole in it) and also possibly make it harder to pass emissions.
EDIT: I re-read, and it looks like you may be just running the EVO muffler with custom pipe? Then yes, a resonator will make it quieter than it was before the pipe rotted.
