A catch can is not necessary but it's a nice feature. Especially cause you're FI, you m ight experience a higher level of oil coming out of the oil separator box and back into your intake manifold.

If you can afford it, go for it (just make sure you put it in the right place between the oil box and IM). Others have had success with cheaper versions http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c.../catchcan.html

If i were you, I'd get one. But i'd get an oil cooler first (depending on your location)

everyone is quick just say put an oil cooler on
you know oil thats too cold is just as bad as too hot

in an oil cooler install/purchase theres a lot of time and research involved to get the proper size, oil temp, etc

I wouldnt be so quick to say oil cooler if I were you

the catch can on the other hand is a VERY good idea and a nice mod

to do an oil cooler the CORRECT way and have no problems is 700-800 dollars

a NICE catch can is under 100

I dont even see how they relate other than they both have "oil" in the name

well, i guess i did an oil cooler the INCORRECT way since I simply bought the B&M oil cooler kit and slapped it on my car.

Those were my next 2 set of gauges: oil pressure and oil temp.

what is an ideal temp to be around?

me too i got the B/M oil cooler and oil filter relocator kit. I must have did the wrong thing too, temps stay at 185 from when it use to be at 210 all the time. Chit works for me. especially in TX heat and turbo.

is there any difference between oil catch cans on the market? OH yeah, does everyone with an oil catch can have to install steel wool?? I have never heard of this either. They are all perform the same function, don't they? Also what does "ttt" mean. not familar with the online slang. Thanks.

It means "to the top"

you will also see "BTT" used sometimes as in "back to top"
