got in a wreck. should i try this?
okay. i usually stay over in the ef side of the forums but now my daily driver has been smashed up pretty good. sucks.
drunk driver hit and run. luckily before she jetted off i got her tag number and the cops know exactly where she lives. so good for me.
anyways to the insurance side.
before i got my ef i always wanted to do some things to the body of the hatchback i have. its a 98 ek hatchback. the front bumper. driver fender, door, driver side mirror and seems that the quarter panel might have been dented and my bumper. also head lights and hood are gone. so yeah. not good. it was a 92 accord and pretty much my car acted as a ramp for her crap car. anyways
the thing was i always wanted to get the 99 to 00 front bumper. i also wanted the type r replicas for headlights and a cf hood. if i get the regular 98 fenders would all this still work? also if you remember one of my post along time ago i had already messed the bumper up a little so hopefully that iwll get covered. it seems like a lot, but doesn't hte insurance company just write a check to the place you get your stuff fixed. in that case i have a feeling the stuff i get will actually be cheaper as a whole. reason being i remember i wanted a new hood cause some jackass sat on my hood and dented it and it would cost me 800 just to get a new one and painted.
and know this might sound stupid to some, just wanted to know if anyone has tried this type of stuff and how it went for them. if my car is in fact totalled i will probably just sell the crx and take the money from the ek and buy myself an s2k. not too shabby if i do say so myself. thanks to anyone who can help.

Re: (Origin)
When the insurance cuts you a check, you can do whatever you want with it. Say you go to body shop (X) and get an estimate. Then your adjuster takes a look at your car and estimates it also. After a few days your insurance will either accept body shop x and send you the amount or tell you to go to another body shop and still send you a check.
