The car was stock, until the exhaust broke a few months ago. I figured a Skunk2 would work better than stock, and I was right. I also lucked out with the AEM short ram. Unfortunately, I paid about $100 too much for the cat back and about $25 too much for the short ram. Tomorrow I should be getting some Bomz springs and KYB AGX shocks in the mail and even though I know I got the best price, I don't even know if they will work together.

I need some advice on some things before I jump in again! I don't want to waste money on junk and I don't want to mess up a perfectly good car.

I would like to get some 17" wheels and tires, and a body kit. As far as wheels, I don't like chrome, and I like the less obtrusive body kits like the Buddy Club style (no wings!).

Also, is a twin cam VTEC swap possible for this year model (twin wasn't available that year), and where can I get an engine for a good price (I can rebuild)? I know I have seen a rear drum brake to disc conversion kit, but can't find it now. Where to buy?

My '82 Corvette is for sale to help pay for the plans I have, if that tells you how serious I am. My Corvette friends are quite upset.

Some advice and direction for you:

- I would not get 17's if you are performance minded. They're heavy bling. I have them. I hate them.

- Stop buying parts without doing research first. You are asking for trouble.

- Yes, DOHC swaps are an option. B-series drop right in. H-series can be shoe-horned in if you are willing to put forth more effort.

Do some research using the search function. This board contains a asston of information, you just have to look for it.

does everyone start wit the rules F the stupid rules lol(i probably just lost 2 points for that). search isnt anyone's freind unless u have a billion questions and they never get specific.

as far as ur bombz springs get rid of them jokers and go buy a better quality spring trust me its worth the hassle went frmo maxspeed coilovers to skunk2 springs and its a world of a better ride. a bit stiff but i like it. good shot on the shocks tho. b series swaps are a dime a dozen if u want soem lil pep get the b16 if ur lookin on a budget or go to a nice peice it together b20z swap with a gsr tranny. tons of torque and b16s dunt ahve a good time with me even on teh freeway. if u have the money gsrs are always a good time power, more torque than a b16 and loads of fun up top

btw how much did u pay for the skunk2 if u dunt mind me asking we where sellin them for 450 shipped our shop last week and i kno retail is about what 550 for them ******* nice exhaust tho

as far as 17s i wouldnt go bigger than a 16" wheels if u want a lil bling. 17s tend to be heavy as **** and **** up gearing on ur lil D series tranny. go wit a nice set of speedmasters or final speeds if u want a nice wheel @ a decent price.
and damn i wanna sol lately drove my freind's b16 sol and its loads of fun drivin it around. i jsut luv the DSM like shifter placement lol.
