much to my dismay, was swiped by an expedition in the median AFTER a horrible day at work.....i baby the **** out of my car, and now i have to fix/roll around with a coke-can fender...




the worst part is that yesterday i washed/waxed/detailed my car thinking she was at her peak...

Damn..sorry to see that man. You can just replace the door/fender and be good which should'nt be too much. ****, make whoever hit you replace them!! Get an estimate, get a certifit fender, get it painted and be golden!
And btw..what color are those HX rims??!!

that's the plan....my dad is a bodyman/painter, so the work isnt a problem (i also do work)

luckily we both had insurance, so we'll see how it all unfolds...i hope they can just cut me a decent check and call it a day (dont bother with insurance and rising rates)

Hell yeah...I do bodywork/paint myself, so you should be good. I would damn sure get a quote anyways and get the guy who ran into you to pay the full quote. You could ****** up some extra stuff with the extra money. Are you going to bother fixing the door or not?? Wouldnt be worth it to me.

door has a small dent that can be popped out/buffed...

fender just has to be replaced and shot....i may just go ahead and give her a fresh new coat of tahitian green (that's all 12 year old OE paint lol)

I don't think blending the green would be a big deal, but the clear would have to be buffed out on the whole car to make it not stand out. If you're going to paint it yourself you can probobally paint the whole car ( just paying for paint/clear) for what someone would charge you to paint just the fender.

i would tell the insurance company that it would be almost impossible to match the paint correctly and get them to pay for a complete paintjob
