Got a new exhaust but ?

I got a cat back exhaust for my 92 hatch but I have the stock header on it, a d16z6. But someone made a hack job of the piping so the flex pipe or whatever is ready to fall off. How much should this usually cost? B/c my local shop quoted me $125 to replace just that.

I was going to get a dc header, but what cat or resonator should I use?

Also where could I find a flex pipe cheaper?

Any info. and or pics would be appreciated.

Yeah it is, but do I need to have a cat?

Unseen Racer 12-18-2008 06:53 PM

that i dont know.

can some one help with this?
does he need a cat to have a flex pipe?

Why not complete it by making all your piping 2.25. That way your cat isnt limiting the flow of air. I think magnaflow makes a 2.25 universal cat that should do the trick and that way your exhaust will not be limited by the stock cat.

you will need a cat for smog regulations for where you live. and seein howu live in so cal u will need the cat. pick one up on craigslist for cheap

your location says ohio, you dont need a cat in ohio. if i were you id get a spoon cat look alike, thats what i have, running some dc headers and 2.5 back
