got my sir guage cluster from osaka today.
well the guage cluster looked alright. it was in a old box, and when i opened it up nothing was in their to protect the guage cluster, luckly nothing was broken or cracked. cluster was extremly dusty, there is even caked on dirt on the milage numbers. and the milage reset counter is broken, but everything else works fine. took them 2 months to get me the guage. mark was helpful, but was disapointed to see he sent me a cluster in that condition and waited 2 months for it. but still it works lol.

I was kind of sketch about ordering one earlier so I didnt. After hearing this I'm glad I didnt spend money on it. No hate towards osaka, just used parts from japan..

Read this post, thats one of the reasons why I won't buy from them, taking 2 months to get a cluster and it being in shitty condition...wtf is that? Another is low quality engines, swaps missing parts, and overall shitty customer service. Not accepting credit cards is not reassuring especially since they are in another country. If you send a MO and they don't follow through your screwed. If their operation isn't big enough to handle the volume of customers that has been buying items from then they need to change. I got my SiR cluster from someone else and it arrived in pristine condition include the gauge overlay.

i guess their quality isn't as good as many thought.
on the side note I was selling EG6 clusters for $150 shipped, while everyone was bitching about my pricing and how Osaka had them for much cheaper. one thing for sure, mine worked, were clean, tested and in working condition. sorry but i had to vent.
2 months for a cluster is rediculous.

That is crazy waiting that long for a product. I don't know how you made it that long. When I order something I want it now, I have no patience. If I buy anything off ebay I make sure they are on the east coast so it doesn't take so long.
It kinda sucks they sent it in that condition, but atleast you got what you wanted and your happy overall. Post some pics when you get it installed.

I have to agree they need some sort of quality control, how much did you pay for it? I'm trying to see if the price what based on the quality.

I have no idea who osaka is, but I can tell you that is TERRIBLE customer service!
The guy waited 2 months and gets a cluster that's caked in dust and not even working properly.
PS <> Thanks for the heads up I will need a GSR cluster shortly.

This is what I like to see / hear!
CRX_VTEC - Is that because your not old enough to drive??!

Come on! Read the first post. That is enough to avoid dealing with osaka, IMO!
Is osaka a person who posts on the boards? If so, maybe he can explain

i have no idea why it took them over 2 months too. i kept on emailing them, and im mark, he told me he sent it out once, and it came back to the shop (okay). and then he said he will ship it the next day. which ended up being another month. and then he finally gave me a tracking number. and got it 2 weeks after he said he shipped it again. so a total of 2 months and 2 weeks, i have my money order stub too on what day i got the money order the same day i sent out too. i kind of want my money back. and the lights were all blown out. luckly i used my original cluster blubs but it still very dim. man the more and more i think about it, the more and more i am getting pissed off. i was going to buy a swap from them but not being helpful at all.

I just read that the boss is gone. Mark will be in charge of everything being shipped out as of now and can deal with most of the problems. I would call or e mail him, send him pictures, and tell him what you want to do. If he does not comply, get a refund for everything

Re: got my sir guage cluster from osaka today. (b18c5todaracin)
i have no problem with mark, he is a good guy. and he is going to give me a good deal on a swap. so i am very very happy about it. its a very very good deal. but oh well the cluster works, rpm guage is off by just a couple hundred rpms. i have another tach anyways. i wish the miles reset counter worked, so i can see how many kph i can go on a full tank of gas hehe.
i hope they get that manager problem worked out. i think mark would be a lot better manager.

hey kiki, i pulled the same clusters u have out of an SiR and stuck them into my VTi and had exactly the same symptoms u were having like very dim lights the Tach jumped all over the shop when u were puttin power down and wasnt giving a 100% accurate reading.
What i done was, i used the tach sensor off my old gauges at the back and kept my white front with red needles and it worked perfectly it take a bit of handywork but IS possible and they work perfect now. Apparently the dials only take a tach reading properly off an SiR.
As for ur dim lights, i dont know bout ur bulbs but some of mine were blue, this blue stuff is just rubber that can be peeled off the bulb and it makes one hell of a difference. I'm sure with some handywork u could swap the odometer from ur old gauges into ur new ones, as a lot of the parts r interchangable but since i didnt have to do it i cant really say. (Also ur reading is in MPH i believe and mine were already converted to KM/H which screws stuff up)
With that done ur gauges should (i hope) be more or less perfect
