Got My Custom Hatch-Specific Car Cover. VERY Pleased!
Remember this?

I wanted a car cover. You see, I have cats at this house where I live and they like to jump up on my hatchback whilst being parked in the garage and they get dirt, hair, etc. on my car in the process. Worst of all are the scratches they've put into my door trims that run along the bottom of the window, and a few scratches on my mirrors.
Anyways my fiancee' bought me a really kick-*** inddor car cover from California Car Covers. I chose inddor because they are supposed to be the softest lined ones out there. I will definately buy an outdoor waterproof cover for her hatch after we move and have her car repainted.
Anyways here's some pics:
Indoor material:
Awesome stitching and tucked seams for no scratches:
The company:
Let me say that this cover fits awesome and it is pretty damned soft. It is a coated flannel material, and it has yet to scratch my finish or even leave any sort of haze on the windows, paint, etc.
It's pretty thick, but the way it is designed it allows heat to get out and it is breathable, meaning that if you have any water trapped in crevices after a wash it will still evaporate and not sit and cause rusting.
It keeps even fine dust off of the car, including pollen! I dry washed the car (with Meguires Quick Mist Detailer) to dust it off and waxed it with 3M wax and even after a few days if sitting in the pollen infested air, it has yet to get any dust on it while being covered.
This particular cover was about $140.00 plus shipping, but you can get less expensive models in inddor or outdoor.
Outdoor models are breathable, but they don't claim to filter out the finest of pollens, but then again they're also waterproof.
I'll find the link to the site, which is easy to navigate and easy to compare models, read up on specs, etc.
Anyways comments are welcomed.
:D
BTW:
I got the cover from http://www.calcarcover.com/ and it was stitched and shipped within 2 weeks. They are made to roder, or at least mine was.

It was a gift, but I'd have bought it if she hadn't.
Think of it this way:
Each belt molding my cats scratched cost $45.00 a piece with Honda employee discount, and the mirros they scratched is $140.00 by itself with the same discount! Now they did not ruin the mirror, but think if they had.
I'll gladly pay $140.00 to keep parts such as my C/F hood, paintjob, and platic/rubber trims safe from now until i move into my new house away from these cats.
I only wished I had thought of this sooner instead of parking the car in the garage with the hood always popped in order to save the C/F.

My dad's got one of those for his 65 mustang... it's SICK...
His is like 10 years old and still feels baby soft and has NEVER scratched the paint or allowed water to get trapped...
He even had a small amount of water leak onto it a couple times... the water just evaporated back off of the car... no trace of the water on the paint at all...

keeping the hood open does not allow for the cats to sit on it because the hood is horizontal.
dont the cats put dents in your roof. i have a freind who lives in a apartment and the cats chose his car as the kick it spot and he has massive dents in his roof. you must have lightweight cats.

I don't mean to ruin your parade, but that's a CoverCraft cover with a California Car Cover logo screened onto it.
That said, CoverCraft makes top notch products, and I love the cover I have for my EK.
However, I got mine with the Technalon Evolution fabric for outdoor use, and it's
It was about $120 shipped.
PS, if you order from CoverCraft, you get NO LOGO
