Got my 00 civic si cd player installed
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=543585 There is my link asking for help. With the help of you guys I got the harness the other day and today installed it. Then I got my code from the dealer ship. Its not that bad of a CD player, just not loud enough. I might just throw one of the smaller amps I have lying around somewhere under the dash to help the sound a little. On that note, does anyone know a good place to put a small amp? Its about 8 inches by 8 inches, maybe a little bigger. Well here is a pic of the install.
Dont mind the styrafoam, it was shipping day today, hooray!

why do people prefer the 99-00 civic cd player.
They cost used about 80/100, you can get a decent cd player for that price.

who knows? they prefer OEM so people wont try to steal it? i suggest bolting the amp under your seat that way if a thief tries to steal it he has to unbolt the seat too

Then I could use the more powerful amp that I have and it will get decent airflow. AND My car is dirty because I had to pack a whole bunch of boxes to be shipped to loyal ht members As for the price? $20 for the cd player, 16 for the harness shipped, I got the CD player from an idiot friend who thought it was fucked because he put the wrong code in hehehehe.

you can get a decent one for about $100 and sound much better than honda oem

Re: Got my 00 civic si cd player installed (EF9_SiR)
I love my oem cd player.
I have the stock CD player out of a 97 integra, then a friend of mine gave me his broken prelude cd player. So, i took the face off the broken lude stereo and matched it with the teg stereo and i now have one that says "honda" on it with the correct illumination that matches my dash, all for 50 bucks.
i was thinking about adding an amp as wel, only i was going to mount it behind the rear interior plastic peice that goes from the door into the rear of the car. Im concerned about airflow, however. Uner the seat doesnt sound like a bad idea.

Re: Got my 00 civic si cd player installed (euclidEH3)
I think that I might use my small amp and install it in the glove compartment. This way there is no wires strung out on ma fl00r (its gutted inside). AND I can use the existing power from the 12v power outlet. YAY!
