got a couple a/c questions
what is the oil capacity used for the 92-93 system as well as for the 94-95 system?
also, how much residual will either compressor retain if previously filled? what about the rest of the system excluding the drier as it will be replaced??
basically, here's the history. 93 civic hatch. I had the stock setup on it but it didnt cool very well after the recharge, so I swapped over to a 94-95 setup that I pulled off a cold blowing 95 ex.
*NOTE* yes, you CAN use a 94-95 system on a 92-93 but ONLY if you are swapping compressors/driers...not the underdash components. You swap all the lines up to where they come to the junctions on the passenger firewall. I know, I've done it a couple times.
anyway, after putting the 95 setup on, it still didnt blow cold. finally realized a needed a new expansion valve. took both setups off as I was going to sell the drivetrain but now gas prices are too high and I'm putting it back on the road for a while.
I just dont want to have too much oil in the system as I know that will affect performance.
anyone know a good estimate of oil to add to the compressor before I install it knowing all of these factors.
