got an auto tranny on my b16.. which cars would they work in?
it a 1st gen b16 from an XSI, I wanna sell it but I dont know which cars it would work on. I presume it will work in a 90-93 TEG but will it work with anything else.

The tranny you have will work with any B series engine. Its gears are shorter than LS auto tranny. Its made for vtech engines. But can also work for B18A/B or B20Z.

can someone post the gearing difference between the b16a auto vs b18 auto? i think there is only a little bit of difference in the third and 4th gear i am not too sure but I am looking in to this.

You say first-gen, but are you sure it has a milky white plug?
The reason I ask is because the tranny from the first-gen and second gens are different if I remember correctly, and it'll mske a difference.
The 90-91 tranny is shifted by the ECU itself, while the 92-up are shifted by an internal pump.
I know this because my shop just did a pre-OBD B16A automatic full swap into a 1992 Integra and we have gone through hell to get it running right because the difference between the OBD1 and pre-OBD tranny controls.
