As the topic above, will the harnesses from my dx work with the computer for that motor? I know i have to convert DX to SI but, does anyone have any wiring diagrams? please leave anything. This is my first serious swap. Thanks a lot!

What you need is to not listen to that guy.
You might as well forget about using the USDM ITR ECU. It has an immobilizer in it. Just get yourself a chipped P28 and you will be good to go, and you wont have to worry about a 2ndO2, fuel tank pressure sensor and all the other obd2 crap etc etc.

Good advice. The route I took though had to include all of that OBDII goodness.
As Tony said, just get a chipped P28. You'll probably have to run a VTEC wire though.

He doesn't have a cable tranny. He has no worries there.

why would you have to convert to si from dx. you said you had a 93 right? converting to si soec is only for EF models like the 88-91 so dont worry about that. if you have a b18c5 usdm motor the harness form that motor will plug up into the stock civic shock tower harness. TOM the moderator has done this. if you do a quick search you will see his post its very detailed and great info in it. the ecu you will need is a chipped p28 or p30. have fun with the motor.

Send an IM to our moderator, he's got a USDM Type R (I believe) he'll let you know exactly what is need with pictures... all you really need to do is just a little bit of wiring. That's about it.
Oh yea, and you should know that you are going to be quick and have lots 0 fun

no way around the immobilizer without the key for the car the ecu came out of... if you had the factory ITR key then yes.. but if not.. no.. only option is a chipped ecu.. otherwise.. no start car.. now if you got the whole ITR like my friend had when he did his in his 4 door.. he used the ITR ecu he just changed out the key cylindars and all the wiring for the imobilizer.. and he still uses the ITR key from his wrecked ITR..

p29 ecu from 92-95 Civic Si manual tranny or 93-95 Civic EX manual tranny.
Must chip the ecu though, or you'll be hitting fuel cut off way too early.
Don't listed to 1/2 the people on this board anyway....IM B18C5-EH2....he did the exact same swap you did and he listed exactly what is needed for the swap in one of his posts

This is what I had to change when I put my '99 b16a2 in my '92 Si
Stock '92 Si Wiring Harness
OBD1 GSR Injectors
OBD1 GSR Distibutor
OBD1 GSR Rear Motor Mount
OBD1 Alternator
OBD1 P30 USDM ECU

or you can just run a conversion harness...making things a lot simpler
