Re: Got a $1000 and a 00 si what should i do (b16a00si)
just save for the turbo man.
i have a b16 and thats what im doing.
it'll be worth it i promise.
but with a grand you could do several things.
Full bolt on car. i.e. i/h/e/ plus cams/gears and alittle extra if you shop around. But you probably wont be happy with the power you make.
Get an ls or b20 bottem ends, slap the vtec head on it, do it right, get it tuned. Makes nice power
or a gsr bottom end, .....Build a poormans type r, Search it if you dont know what im talkin about. Havent ever driven or been drove in one, but hear they can make nice number
But,.....i'll continue to save on boost.

There's soooo much you could do with a $1000. You could upgrade the suspension, wheels and the list goes on and on and on. It depends on what you already have done and what you want to do!

You could put together a turbo kit for $1k. I have seen it done for way less. I had one put together for $750 all I needed was a bov when I sold it. Just take the time to read, learn, and look for deals.

If you plan on keeping the car for a while and don't want it stolen, get good security. I would never own an EM1 mainly because they are stolen EVERYWHERE!

Your search for stolen em1 returned 34 results.

Eh no, I can leave the keys in my ignition and wallet in my seat without any worries. If you don't live in a shitty city you should be fine.

Re: (NACvicSi)
With a Civic SI? No. I know so many people who have said that, including me. There hadn't been a car stolen in the neighborhood my car was in 3 and a half years.

well just cuz u live in a city with 0% auto thefts, doesn't mean suggesting no alarm to others is a smart idea.... who's to say he's not gonna go outta town on a road trip somewhere, or **** someone off who wants to get him back real bad, or any of the other 900 ways his car could be jacked.... x7 for security, get an alarm asap, and a good one at that....

I wasn't telling him not to get an alarm. If you look at the post I quoted he was talking about how they are stolen everywhere. I was simply stating that no, they aren't stolen everywhere. There are plenty of nice cars around here that haven't been stolen, including the Skyline that every ricer in the world drools over. I plan on picking up an alarm too, I was just giving out my opinion on how everywhere isn't full of shady car thieves.
