Good radiators for a B18 swap?
I've done some searching and i've got some good ideas from that, but i wanted to see if anyone had any updates from about 6-8mo ago
Basically im B18 swaping into my 97 Ek. I've never had a problem with heat, ever. But with the sale from the D16y8 parts i was thinking i could buy a radiator to protect my B18 investment. So...
Any recommendations between Fluidyne and Koyo?
Is one more reliable and longer lasting than the other?
Does one save me more space and weight than the other, or over stock?
Also, is there anything else that i should be looking at replacing that normally gets replaced during this type of swap?

-both fluidyne or koyo are good
-both radiators will last the same
-depending what size radiator you want, you can get the half size or full size and the measurments are about the same as stock

This guy is right. No need to spend $300 unless you race every weekend.

So basically the Fluidyne/Koyo radiators are for those who race? I will occasionally have my days where i race, or make up a race, with every person on the street. But i mostly baby my car. So are the chances that the motor will last just as long if i have a Del Sol radiator as opposed to an aftermarket radiator?
I have a 97 4dr Ex. Isnt my radiator similar to the Del Sol? I could swear that mine was a dual core since i had 2 fans

i run the stock civic single core half rad and i dont have any cooling issues. this is with a b18b swap and a turbo. i do plan on upgrading to a stock dual core though, once i build my motor.
just get the dual core oem. it will be fine

I ran my stock EX radiator in my 99 coupe w/ b18c1 and never had any cooling problems. BTW, I live in Phoenix where it is 115 in the summer.

So what year/version civic do you have? I thought mine was dual but i could be wrong. its in the shop right now so i cant check it.
So then with about $200 free that I planned on using on a radiator what mod would you guys recommend for a B18C swapped civic? I have AEM V2 intake and catback-exhaust from my D16 along with my ground wires and i dont want to get a exhaust manifold because i dont want to lose low-end torque and i dont know if ill turbo it later.

Re: (FuNkDrSpOt)
Use the delsol..or si.radiator..but as you are saying just incase.....The del sol dual core is optimal for price..Just put a fal fan on it and your set..and maybe a spoon thermo..

You have 2 fans because you have air conditioning - the condensor has a fan, just like the radiator.
Right now, you have a single core rad, unless you have an automatic.
Lots of people dont even bother with upgrading the radiator - its not toally necessary. If you want to upgrade, and do it cheaply, the del sol vtec/auto ex rad is definately the way to go.
I bought mine on ebay for $80 shipped, you can also buy them locally for a bit more, like I said.
