Default is $285 a good price on a ported & polished B16A head??

i can get a B16A6 vtec head, been ported and polished for the equivalent of bout $285.. it was on a turbo'd 1800 block.. is that a good price??

do u guys think it'l be good to go on a B18B runnin NA (due to the fact it was on a low comp turbo'd block previously)??

i would buy the whole engine but the guy said that the one of the pistons chowed the one of the sleeves somehow.. shoul'd i look out for bent valves etc??

and yes, i have searched

Thats a good price. Generally you find them in the 450-900 range depending on what come with it. Check ebay, see what they are going for, and you should have a better idea.

Oh yeah, don't search vtec head price. Try vtec head, you'll be amazed at the fs results.

yeah that seems like a good deal. Just make sure all your valves are good considering one of the pistons are ate up.

no, he said the valves are fine, one of the sleeves are funked in the block..

my dad suggested having the head xray tested to see if theres any cracks.. wtf that sounds like a bit of overkill to me..

although the guy did say the car was puffing white smoke before he took it apart. but i think that was from the sleeve being chowed. or the turbo.
