Default Good price for an SI?

I currently own a 99 civic ex, normal mods. My buddy wants to sell his 00 SI with 71,000 miles for $8,000. Good deal? I know the car well and it is in good condition with normal wear an tear on the motor. There are no major problems at all. I was wondering if it is worth it and if the motor/transmission are more durable than my ex.

I would buy that. I paid a little more for a used 98 EX last year from a dealer... would have loved the Si instead but at the time I just needed a car and didn't plan on any mods or anything. But things change, so now I'm kinda upgrading the EX to Si specs. What color is it by the way? EBP?

http://www.kbb.com

Search it on there. Deduct $500-$750 and that's the final price. No more, no less.

The ultimate question is whether or not YOU like it, not what we think.

We can all steer you clear of it, but at the end, you'll buy it if you want it.

I really like the car. It's just that my ex blew the motor at 82,000 because it was beat so it just makes me a little hesitant but i know this car better and i figure that an si is stronger anyway.

Well looks like I have everyone's approval...i'll be sure to post pics as soon as it's mine. Are there any key things to watch out for when buying it. Like are there any specific things to make sure work properly with the si?
