I was going to build a d16z6,but i found a guy the biulds and sells motors. He said that he could sell me a d16 with over sized pistons, valve job, ported and polished, and hight flow oil pump.the said that he has testes this type of motor ,and it makes 160 to 170 hp.he was sellin it for 2200...if you think this is not a good deal let me know where i can find a better one.

i had a d16 with I/H/E clutch 11lb flywheel port polished head bored throttle body and port matched intake maifold and a 50 shot of gas..w/o the nitrous it moved very nice for a n/a sohc..i could hang w/ Si's with I/H/E no problem..so the motor wont be slow but it wont be super fast..2200 isnt bad IMO..goodluck

i have a sohc and i say if you are going to spend as much money on a sohc as a dohc cost and get the same performance.... get the dohc.
