It's a fine first car...not like it's upgraded or anything, those boltons won't do **** to the stock motor...not like ur gonna snap an axle if u try to burnout w/ that thing...though one thing that should be your concern is for how much is this?

he wants 3g for it, it has a greddy exhaust and like a $700 coilover setup. i dont think its worth that much tho. i belive some of the bolts might be frozen also >.<

yea that would be a good car to start off with. Hopefully the motor is healthy and there are no problems with the car.

im new to the car scene, and i think i can honestly say im catching on fast. When driving normally it slightly grinds 3rd unless i double clutch it, but when i test drove it and ripped it, it went right into gear and chirped beautifully. thats the only problem he told me about, and he told me everything i belive.

in due time, i want to swap it once i i bored of the engine.

well totaly stock EGs in perfect condition sell for less then 3g around here cuz of the avalibility. Describe the rust, and details. It also depends on your budget and even tho he is a friend, try to haggle a lil. nothing better then laughing at him for it later.

i got my 92 dx with headers, exhaust, black fatfives, aftermarket tailights(whoop whoop ) fuel rail, intake, tinted windows. with NO rust, a few dings, aftermarket sunroof. 2300...

I'd never ever buy a car with these things unless it was the deal of a lifetime:

1) Bad transmission
2) Rust
3) Half-finished projects
4) Excessive modification
5) That has it's cost significantly raised due to said modifications.

There's something just plain icky about finishing someone's projects. I'm not saying there's modded cars that aren't a clean slate in themselves, but 99% of the time, if it's modified, it's going in a direct you don't want it to.

i would happen to be the owner of the car hes talking about. it's a 92 si and it has 126k on it, skunk2 full coilovers with about 1,000 miles on them, knock off brand short ram intake, strut bars, new paint, could use a wet sand and buff, full exhaust, its not like this car is modded to personal preferance or anything the body is totally stock w integra ls wheels on it. it had some rust but it was repaired. brand new clutch about 500 miles ago, new axles and balljoints. i think 2800-3000 is a fair price....3rd gear has a slight grind at low rpm's but does not pop out of gear or give any trouble going in.

i would deffinatley say the car is in great condition, the only thing i would personally do if i was going to keep the car is get a driver side wheel arch welded in on the quarter due to not the greatest rust repair job...the interior is mint, tires have tread left, and the motor runs EXCELLENT.

if it has the typical rust in the wheel wells and its an Si and the paints nice and the interior is nice id say hell yea 3 grand is an amaazing deal especiallly what it already has done to it. it has like 1500 in aftermarket stuff ne ways so your actually getting the car for 1500 and the parts for cheaper but there used. but if hes your friend you should no how he drives and if he beats the **** out of it. i got a buddy who does nothing but beat the **** out of his ef Si hatch and it still runs like a champ with just a swapped ZC motors. so i sau go fro it cause it sounds like a really good deal

thanks guys for agreeing this is a pretty fair price. i paid 2,400 for it, painted it and did some maintainence such as a new distrubutor, battery, and a few other things. then also added on the previously stated parts.

It sounds good. Just fix the rust and youre golden. Especially cause its winter time. Well not really here in southern california, 94 degrees here today.
