Default this a good deal on an Si?

Owner says there's nothing wrong with it, no leaks, works fine, 123k miles - of course I'm going to check it out in person and see.

http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/1045963753.html

$4850 firm, but the hood and bumper needs to be fixed/replaced, really minor stuff. Also about a 1 inch crack on the glass that he said can be easily repaired.

What do you all think? Fair price or nay for a fairly clean stock '99 EM1?

there are pics of the front in the link, does that seem like much of a job to get fixed? seemed fairly straightforward to me, a few dents and get the bumper filled and painted. i could offer 4500 cash when I get there? I always thought Si's were few and far in between and this one looks pretty up to snuff bar that dent on the front.

Any more opinions welcome!

Hell yes it's clean! I don't wanna lowball the guy since he seems like a nice fellow and we've been talking and all, hopefully I can give him a serious $4500 offer and we can settle. I'm thinking $200-300 tops to get all that fixed and painted with a local bodyshop, so it seems like a nice deal to me. I love how it's all stock, he's sending me more pics and if it's as clean on the inside and everything else I'm all over it!

well a hood is about 300 and the bumper is around 200 so you do the math plus paint to match

Alright this is the picture of the front damage, I'm thinking for the most part I can hammer out the hood so it doesn't look as bad for a little bit until I can get body work done on it, and the bumper just looks like it needs some pinning up and adjusting to not look so bad. How messed up does that center grille look? It just kinda seems out of place..

Thanks !

Definitely gonna try and offer $4500 and get the rims, as always, cash talks and I'll be there with the cash. That front damage doesn't look too bad, I just need to see if it's not so bad that it's passable on the street.

i say try to get him down to 4000 to 4500, for that price is a steal, considering you might get lucky on craigslist and find a black hood and a black bumper for under 250.

its a good deal. this gives you a reason to get a clean carbon fiber hood. just be sure there is no core support damage!

Indeed! How can I definitely check the core support? Look at the meat below the bumper? He said it was a soft collision and the airbags didn't go off, which is a plus.

Thanks,

Thanks,

i had a 99 DX that someone parked there suv on my hood and the airbags didnt go off. his bumper was about 3 inches from my window. lol i had to replace hood fender bumper headlight and core support. does the hood close easy? i might not cause of the dent. just make sure the core support looks good as far as pushed back. make sure its not pushed to the engine. sorry its hard to explain
