this isnt for me, my friends got a '99 SI and is lookin around for a rear sway bar...wut brands are good, wut size is good, wut sites are the best/cheapest, wut we need to kno about endlinks/bushings, and w/e else we need to know just spit it out there. i dont kno too much about sway bars so w/e info will help.

A '99 Si already has a rear sway bar.

ya but he wants a better one...and im not gena tell him not to cuz i might snag his sway bar for my car after i get new LCA's if its possible to do so...

This is true. If he wants to upgrade to a bigger bar he can go with a GSR rear sway bar or even and ITR rear sway. However, the 6th gen rear subframe is known for being weak, so if he goes with anything bigger than a GSR it's a really good idea to get some kind of reinforcement. I suggest the A-SPEC Racing kit. He could also use one of their bars and endlinks. There are many options as far as aftermarket bars to go with. Just do a little research and you'll find what you want.

Better is a subjective term. I've used a 24mm Mugen bar on a '99 Si (it had a lot of other modifications) for track use, but it made the rear end pretty lively. Of course that was what I wanted at the time, but on a street car it could be dangerous. The Mugen bar is nice because it uses the stock EM1 endlinks. And like the other guy suggested, the EM1 swaybar mounting points are pretty flimsy, so he'll need some type of subframe reinforcement. I used a Beak's kit and it was fine. If he wants to upgrade from the stock bar, then maybe a Mugen 18mm bar would be a good place to start.

i have a 99 cx with si lca'a and a stock si rear sway bar that i cant put on because of the exhaust location. if and when i upgrade the the exhaust what would be a good upgrade for me just wanting to keep it street use friendly. thanks in advance.
