Going from EG to EK Questions ???
Im looking at getting an EK Hatch, i currently have an EG hatch and was wondering if a couple of parts are interchangeable.
1) I have H&R sport springs and KYB AGX's from the EG hatch, can i use them on the EK, if i need to mod anything what do i need?
2) I have a GSR rear unit exhaust on the EG, will it be a straight swap onto the EK hatch?
3) Can anyone tell me if a 99DX has a factory tach in the cluster?
Thanks
F.

unless it was specified by the person buying the car, there is not a tach.

You will need to add waskers in the rear lower strut fork areas because the EG has bigger lower control arm bushings than the EK. Not a big deal at all. Only other difference is that Eg front struts have brake cable stays - other than that everything is all the same and will work great.
I run EK Konis on my EG and I had to mod my EG rear lower control arm bushings to accomidate the more narrow EK strut forks.

Not sure at all.

No factory tach in any 1996-2000 hatchbacks. EX or Si clusters should be a plug and play affair.

Frank, the 99 DX will have a tach in it, Eugenes had one stock, and so does my other friend's DX. Exhaust wise, i can't help you with that question.

Since the EK rear shock forks that go to the LCA are narrower than on EG rear shocks, did you have to cut your bushing to get the EK shock to fit?

Yes I actually have the Energy Sus kit, so I took a bandsaw and trimmed by LCA bushing inserts to be more narrow.
Stock EG LCAs have a metal sleevs though, so gridning them down is the best option.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I always thought that the rear EK shocks won't work on EGs and vice versa, **** i missed out a SWEET *** deal on yellows and Tein SS thinking they won't fit.
