Goin From Power windows to Manual
Hey guys I noticed that my driver side power window is starting to struggle and have a feelin it is on its last legs.
I am curious as to what is needed to go from a power window to a manual window setup???
I really like the idea of gettin rid of the two window motors (weight) and just the problem associated witht them.
Thank you

you'll need the panels for the doors and the mechanism inside the door. Go to a salvage yard and pull it out of a wreck. happy huntin'

while you're trying to figure out how to swap to manual. just spray some silicon in the window track and along the seal.

manual windows in a big *** chevy truck suck, but in a honda, easy as pie and you dont have to worry about the damn things slowing down when they get old

Re: (warwagon)
Dude, youre barely going to save 5 lbs losing the window motor. Just fix the damn things. That would be cheaper than new panels and cranks.

I have all the manual window stuff from an EK (96-00 Civic). Let me know if you are interested, and we can work out a deal.

advance auto or autozone. you can usually but just the motor itself from both places. If a lexus ls400 power window motor is only $90, then a honda civic motor cant cost all that much....

window motors from autozone for a '94 civic were 108$, the local honda wanted just under $200 and majestic wants $140, BUT the autozone ones come with a LIFETIME warranty. Honda's is just a year.

now go price all the parts you'll need for manual window conversion including actually being able to find a set of door panels in halfway decent shape.
pretty sure regardless that the window motor will be cheaper.
