God please someone give me good news?
Well after getting down talking with dad about "how I need to get the car running again" so I can stop taking his, I go out in the garage and start putting the car back together. I get the fenders put on, yadda yadda... I start her up and go take her for a spin to keep the rotors/pads in check - and I noticed some smoke... no biggy right? Its raining... maybe I hit a puddle...
So I pull in the garage, shut down... restart - give her some revs and go stick my hand in the exhaust... whats this? FAWKING OIL! So basically im almost 100% were talking piston rings now - which is the ONE thing I didnt want. I knew we were having a little problem, but shes always ran fine... hell I just changed the oil, but now after sitting a day or two she just drones - so my rings are shot right? Basically my swaps coming sooner then expected I guess - check the classifieds if you have an LS swap im offering some mobile video trades!
Or is it not the rings - god please someone give me some good news?

Forget the 'hand job.' Pull your plugs and look at them. They'll tell you what's going on.
Besides that, different rings do different things. The top ones are for compression and the bottom ones are for keeping oil out of the combustion chamber. The oil might be coming from your valve guide seals, if it's been sitting for a while.
Anyway, I wouldn't panic yet. Drive it around for a few days and the problem might go away on it's own.
