Go with stock pulley or aftermarket?
Own a 95 ej1 and crank pulley is bad. Is it recommended to stay stock? or an aftermarket one? I heard that aftermarket ones are bad for the main bearings. Any help will be appreciated!

go with an OEM for your motor, and aftermarket ones (most) arent balnced so unless you have a bulit motor with everything balnced youll get alot of vibrations at top end, id go with an OEM one

Re: Go with stock pulley or aftermarket?
yea stay OEM because my friend had a gsr swapped ej1 and he eliminated his ac and ps so he decided to change his pulley for weight reduction and he got the after market one and it went all down hill from there...so basically if u got a b series CTR is the way to go

stay stock unless you plan to rev higher than stock. NEVER use a pulley that doesnt have a dampener (ATI or fluidampner have dampeners) <-those come "nuetral" balanced. The under drive pulleys that dont have dampeners will DESTROY oil pumps and main bearings because they dont dampen the engines harmonics

Stock! Aftermarket pulleys (for the most part) do not come with any dampening. If its necessary for you to reduce your rotational mass I suggest you get your stock pulley lathed (of course that means you dont plan on using your A/C or P/S). Either way, aftermarket is not the way to go.

I am selling an OEM 92-95 pulley that will fit on 92-00. It is VERY light weight and it made my Y7 rev up noticeably faster.
I think I have it for $30 shipped on my FS thread.
