The 93 hatch I just bought had it already broken off for me Anyway, there was still a little thing underneath the silver bar where the handle attached that allowed me to open it, and to close it I put a piece of cardboard for the time being to hold that down and keep it closed... I also have to order a new one, but to my knowlege you have to buy the whole glove box, I MAY be wrong on that, but a friend told me I would need to get a new glovebox... hope that helps a little...

Ok, leave it to me to make things right...

You can just order the handle, that's what I did. They send the whole handle mechanism. You just undo two screws and bolt the new one up. If you broke the handle off now, get on the floor and look up at the handle. Get yourself a little screwdriver, and you should be able to operate the "handle" with the screwdriver by wedging it. It is super hard to explain in text, but if you are a smart guy, and see the piece physically, you'll get it.

There is a little metal tab where the handle use to be. You need to fiddle with that guy.

i think i need to buy a whole new glove box or go to the junkyard,,, i hung a shop light from the box like 2 years ago and over over he course of a few hours the heat from the light bulb and the weight from the housing bent the corner of the cover out about 1/2"... i havnt cared enought to fix it up untill now but i am trying to finish up the final touches on my car before i swap.

does anyone know if i can buy a new cover (the part you look at that matches the dash) or if i can take it off to rebend it? ill find out for myself soon enough but i figured somebody might know something.
