Getting ready to relocate battery to the trunk tomorrow EK Hatch
How long of a positive wire and what gauge should i get?And where should i buy it? And how long of a ground. For the power i guess its gonna need to be pretty long since its going from the starter to the back. The fuse box under neath the hood one of the wires runs to the positive terminal can i also get a wire for that and how long and what gauge yet again.

I used ~17 ft going from engine bay to trunk (get about 18 of whatever size you plan to use just in case?), and used a 150 amp thermal switched fuse thing mounted in my engine bay as the junction box.
The engine-to-chassis ground only needs about half a foot. I used 4 gauge with AutoZone terminals, but you can definitely do better than that, such as with 2 or 0 gauge, but I didn't have any available at the time.
For terminals on the fuse box, I used some amplifier terminals from KnuKonceptz (have to order and wait though) and shaved just a little to fit into the screw holes, then clamped it down snugly.
I think that's everything. o.O

you can use a fuse or circuit breaker as close to the battery as possible. use 4 gauge wire 0 gauge is overkill and just adds weight. becareful with what 4 gauge wire you buy!!! streetwires has ordinary 4 gauge dont buy the cheap "economy" ebay brand its got a 4 gauge jacket but the wire thickness is more like 8 gauge.
use the spare tire mount as a spot for ground. its welded directly to the unibody and has the hole with nut already done for you.
any autoparts store will have terminals but for the starter mount i suggest a set screw terminal not the crimp kind!

No doubt about it, use 0 gauge but make sure you get the lugs the right size and crimped correctly.
In 20 ft of wire you will get a massive voltage drop if you use anything smaller. Ground the negative to the body with a good 3/8" clean bolt and also run another 0 gauge to the engine frame.
Do it cheaper and you will regret it.
