Get it Right!!! Shift linkage 92-00 D series Interchangable?
I searched and found 2 topics. One stating they don't work from EG's to EK's due to the O2 sensor placement and the other post stated they do work.
People with experience please post to clear this up!

i'm pretty sure they work fine...doesn't matter where your o2 is...it's not like the linkage itself is resting ontop of it or any matter like that...they're interchangable...

i guess the EK linkage's have a bend around the o2 sensor wheras the EG's don't? That or vise versa. I'm not sure, but i'm thinking they can't be too different

Correct, 92-95 dont have that bend. Ive seen some that clear no problem, others rest on it. It doesnt hurt anything its just the feel you get. Still shift all gears and reverse fine.

So does it effect the funtion of the shifting at all or rub of any kind? I have an extra linkage from a EG that i want to put on the EK but i just wanna make sure it doesn't change/effect anything before i go ahead and do it.
