Generation Help

I need some defining the 'generations' with the years. So a breakdown of what EG and such means. I am so sorry for asking such a green question

...

EF = 4th Generation (88?-91)

EG/EH = 5th Generation (92-95)

EK/EJ = 6th Generation (96-00)

EM/?? = 7th Generation (01+)
