Icon2 general question about IACV

ok so i always see questions about this.. it seems that IACV is very common to have?? faulty?? can anyone tell me why?? is it just because its a normal wear and tear part? is it cause of all the carbon build up that they seem to gather? it just seems like its a problem that reaccures often and im curious if there is a answer why..

Are you kidding with this question? Some of these cars are over 20 years old. I see a lot of questions about MAP sensors, IAT, FITX, headgaskets, O2 sensors, etc. The. Cars. Are. Old.

Yes, it's normal wear and tear. Some fail faster than others but it really just boils down to how well the car is maintained and if at all......

But going back to what grumble said.... Just due to the age of these cars, all the parts on these vehicles are bound to fail at some point.

Haha no I get what you mean.

It seems most people I run into with honda's now-a-days are having issues with their IACV/FITV .... Most likely due to the fact they were never serviced.
