Gen 6 headlight upgrade?
I searched on Gen 6 headlights and found a good thread on polishing them.

[fixed link - sorry 'bout that!]
How about other upgrades or conversions or whatever for Gen 6 headlights?

Cant like to a file on your own computer. Alot of people get CTR headlights. Real ones are like $450+. Knock off are cheaper but they leak. Either CTR or new OEM is the best. There are others like projectors but theyre pretty lame and low quality.

Probably work better anyway!

Re: Gen 6 headlight upgrade? (BlackDeuceCoupe)
Moderators, please feel free to move this thread to the Lighting forum.
Sorry, my nOOb bad, I didn't see the Lighting forum till tonight.
Anyway, ...
Or I could get replacement headlights.
A quick google found them for $57 for '96-'98
and for $99 for the '99-'00 cars. (prices per each side)
Do the two year ranges have different beam patterns? Or just different shapes?
Yeah its a chunk of money but would be part of what I sink into the car when I get it - unless of course the car's lights are in cherry condition, which I doubt.
Any brands that are loved or hated??
And somebody please tell me about CTR and JDM headlights?
JDM = Japanese domestic market but CTR???
I have e-codes on my 'old' ride, that's european-code. High beams are narrower than ours and very bright. Low has a hard cutoff keeping the low beam out of drivers eyes. Cutoff slopes up to the right to light the edge of road. British ones are built in reverse for left-side-of-read driving.
Sorry for all the questions. NOOb here is busy getting educated.
Thanks for the help!

CTR = Civic Type R, while we're at ITR is Integra Type R, H-T is full of acronyms, and while very usefull to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome they aren't neccessarily intuitive to the first time honda owner.

Re: Gen 6 headlight upgrade? (94EG8)
I just wetsanded and polished mine and they look like new. After that, I took them apart and painted the housings black so they are CTR diy headlights now. You should do the same, I'm very happy with how mine came out.
