Icon2 Gears at high RPM - tried everything!

Hi Guys,

I have a b20 turbo setup.

When I reach 8500 rpm, push down clutch and try change gears, i have to wait for the revs to drop before it will allow me to change gears.

We have tried everything!

1. Clutch master cylinder - replaced
2. Clutch + presure plate (about 4 diff clutches)
3. Flywheels, even tried skimming
4. Replaced gearbox syncros
5. Checked all gearbox forks
6. Checked gears
7. Adjusted clutch pedal

Dont know what else to look at... things I have not tried..

1. Harmonic balancer.
2. Hasport engine mounts.

I have a fully built B20Z 84.5mm bore - boosting at 0.5.

Could my engine need a harmonic balancer? Could it be vibrating out of balance and making it difficult to change gears?

At the moment I have engine mounting inserts, would the hasport mounting help keep my engine from vibrating or moving - would this help shifting?

yes hasport mounts will stop the vibrations and tranfer the vibrations to your chassis. the motor wont vibrate but the body of the car will vibrate alllllooooot.. i know for a fact cause i have hasport mounts on my ride..but i dont know if it will help the shifting of your car.

What year civic I know on the 92-95 with the mech shift linkage that high rpm shifts can be a bitch if the engine moves on worn mounts. I can see the same thing happening on a cable set up if the engine is moving enough due to worn out/damaged mounts
