Default Gauges?

I am installing the aem tru boost controller and a oil pressure gauge and was wondering: Intructions stated to use a switched fused +12v source, I am assuming they are referring to ACC. is this correct?
secondly, I try to avoid cutting any factory wires so I was planning to run all the gauge and controller wires to my aftermarket cd player harness, would that be a good location?
any help would be great.

your correct on you assumption of the power source however ganging them on that one circuit is foolish!! if you have a cig lighter use that circuit and throw the element away....

Ditto on using the cig lighter for 12V switched. It's the easiest to use and is exactly what you need.
