Gauge Sending Units
I tried searching with the search function, but to no avail. Simple question for most I'm sure...I purchased an A/F Gauge, now going to purchase an Oil Pressure Gauge, it says "sending unit not included." What does the sending unit do? My A/F Gauge said sending unit not included too, but I hooked it up and is working just fine. What is this "required babble" they speak of I'm assuming the sending unit is the wire that attaches to the O2 sensor (for my A/F gauge) but then why would I need another one. Anyways simple question I'm sure, thanks.

Re: Gauge Sending Units (SRCivic97)
a sending unit for the oil pressure will tap into the oil pressure line on the back of your block and convert the pressure to a electrical signal. that signal is fed via a wire to the guage wherever you may have placed it. personally, i use mechanical guages, as not to deal with sending units. good luck.
