Default Gauge Problems..

sry guys i posted this before but im having trouble with both my speedo and tach now. My speedo will be working fine and then randomly bounce around and stop working completely then later it will bounce around some more then pick up with the speed i am at. And after that i started noticing my tach acting up.. one day it just went all the way around and stayed pointing straight down to nothing. ever since then it doesnt seem to work right at all and is either on 0 or just goes straight to 6k then back to 0 when it shifts which is not right when i feel the car shift at what should be 2-3k

Edit: 92 sedan lx auto

Is your Battery light on and break light comes on/off? this is sign of alternator going out. This what happen to me before on my 94 CX HB

When i turn my key to the accessories or on position but dont start it my battery and brake lights come on and stay on i believe but once i start the car they go out and stay out. Is that what you mean or were you referring to while driving they are on

check your distributor for the tach lead wire and check the speed sensor for the speedo.

Check whether fuse 12 or 24 is blown in the under-dash fuse box.

take your dizzy cap off and find the 4 wires that hook onto the ignition module inside the dizzy and make sure that none of them are loose. i was plagued with that problem a couple of times. should be the one of the side of the module. if you have another module try that as well.
