hey guys, yesterday i picked up a cluster for my 94 hatch. i'm noticing somethings that seem odd. first off, the tach on the cluster redlines at 8k, to the best of my knowledge the highest revving USDM 92-95 civic was 7.2k, the d16z6. i don't BELIEVE the cluster is JDM since the gauges aren't white and the needles aren't amber.

second thing, there is no srs light. the 92-95 civics all came with at least a driver side airbag correct?

another thing is the cluster comes with a fuel light. i haven't notice any 92-95 civic with a fuel light.

i thought about maybe the previous owner just switched out the gauges but i didn't think that would be possible since the only other cluster within 92-95 that had a tach was the VX and that cluster has a shift light and no fuel light

even if it was a different bezel, the ones that are compatible with 92-95 civics all had at least a drivers airbag right?

can someone shed some light on this for me? thanks

also, the speedo gauge goes up to 140mph, i thought 92-95 civics only went up to 120 across all trim levels???

I know my clusters. I used to collect them. Here's an European VTi cluster. Notice they use KPH, however in the UK they use MPH. I know for a fact that UKDM clusters go higher than the USDM clusters. EG's go to 140 MPH instead of 120 MPH. Same with EK's, I had a picture of a UKDM Civic (EX for us, unsure of their model). ITR clusters there go to 160 MPH instead of 140 MPH like it does in the US.

thanks, that's exactly it but without the KPH. one more questions though, do they light up amber or did the previous owner just painted the bulbs?

I don't believe they light up amber. Check the bulbs if they are amber.

Not all civics came with driverside airbags. DX and Cx don't. I have that cluster but I changed the tach to the redline at 7.2k rpm. I don't think they came with a fuel light. Not sure. I also noticed that the clusters that have it in MPH say unleaded fuel only under the gas guage and the KM/H don't. Never seen it here in Canada.

From a friend overseas. That's 20 bucks Canadian too. I prolly can't get you a deal like this because he just sold the one. I am really not sure where else you can find them. Try ebay, but you never really know if it's the real thing or fake.
