Actually, its a horrible idea. The shifter is just going to bang around in there when you are on/off the gas and on/off the breaks.

Does anyone know of a way to stabilize the shifter so it would not move around when driving?

For some reason my friends 82' VW has less shaking in the gears when hes on the gas then my Civic does. But then again it has about 10x the play in gears haha

my damn shifter has about an inch of play in it while in gear... (side to side that is)

Also, the reason for this movement in our shifters is cause of the shift linkages and no use of cables. Cable shifters dont move around much while driving.

Anyone know which poly inserts to use for a JDM b16 shift linkage? like the one on the motor? Are all b-series the same? cuz my d-series was MUCH too small to fit the hole.

I think all b series linkage have the same larger end, so any bushings for an integra would work.

But your shifter will still move. When you acclerate and brake hard, you motor moves forward and back. Since your shifter is attached to the linkage which is attached to your tranny which is attached to your motor, your shifter will always move.
