Default gas question

im changing my fuel pump and the bracket that the pump bolts to broke. now i need to find this bracket and i cant anywhere locally. so my pump and everything is out but there is this hole in the gas tank under the seat. my question is will my gas go stale if its not sealed. its been open to the atmosphere for about 18hrs now. should i try to seal it back up asap? let me know

Unless it's been in storage for years, nothing will happen.
