My car's gas lid/cover won't stay closed all the way. When the lid is closed, you could see it's loose and does not sit flush with the car. There's even room for me to push the lid in after closing it. The lid is just loose, I haven't seen it pop out when driving yet.
Any ways to fix this?
I drive a 96 Civic btw.

Start fiddling with the latch. Possibly it's bent.

Open the gas door. You can then see a latch.

Yeah, that little thingy that goes "boooing" when you pop your fuel door. You have probably cut part of a knuckle on it in the winter time.
