gas guage is broke, how do i fix it!!
the other day i did a post saying my gas gauge might be broke now a day later its broken for sure i put 5 bucks in my tank and it barly went up and it stays on empty how can i fix this if i can even fix it!!

Try and see if the float is good in the tank . Its real easy to get to . Right under the back seat. Just check that out first.

Honda gas gauges don't work. I've been at 200 miles on my tank and its sitting on E. Don't trust the gas gauge...calculate your mileage and then fill up according to that. I get about 30MPG so when the E comes on a 220 I know i have another 100 miles to go before I have to fill up.

Pull out the fuel pump and there will be a float inside there. If that is all there and is working then make sure that all the wires back there are all hooked up and there are no broken wires. If all that is good then make sure that there is power going to the gauge . If there is then the gauge itself is bad.

bauley is very right about the guages being inaccurate but i still fill up on E. that way i know im not gona run out. im guessiing its the guage in the cluster ... if u have a buddy with a civic of the same gen. see if he'll let u try his cluster in ur car and see if his fuel guage works in your car. i might have one laying around snce i have like 3 clusters. pm me if u are interested.
