gas gauge wayyy off
well ive been reading through the search options, and nobody really has my problem...
i noticed my problem after i changed my fuel pump also.
at one time ill get in my car, my gauge will read Full, ill go to a store, get back in, start mycar, it will be below half full, then ill go to another store, it will be back at full.. so i dont know how much gas i really have, just 2 days ago i was having a problem with it bogging bad, thinking it was my dizzy i replaced it. that was a 200 dollar mistake, turned out that i was out of gas.. even though my gauge read 3/4 full.. i saw that it could be a sending unit, but since i replaced my pump, where would my sending unit be??
also, at around 60 to 90mph, my speedo will flutter around, not really giving me an accurate reading.. i dunno if this could be linked.. but justlet me know

May need a new cluster (just b/c both of those problems at once, but i've never heard of replacing it (cluster) before). Get a vss for the speedo problem, and you can check the sending unit with a volt meter, i think its bad. Its right in the top of the tank i believe.

Re: (Nashville)
Sounds like it is the cluster that is the problem. Have you tried to buying a used one off ebay and replacing the gas cluster and speedometer?

Re: gas gauge wayyy off (Nashville)
It does sound like the cluster is the problem.
As for the sending unit, when you pulled out the fuel pump (it's a pod), you should have noticed another "pod" next to it with an electrical connector to it. And with the exception of the lack of fuel lines, it looks pretty similar to the fuel pump - that's your fuel sending unit.
That's where it is on '92-'00 Civics, it's on a different place in 'tegs (don't know where exactly, just know it's not there).

My stock gas gauge was broke when I got the car. I wanted to get a cluster from an EX w/tach, and after I swapped it in everything worked fine. My vote is also bad cluster.
