Default Gas Fume

i drive a 94 eg with a ls vtec swap and every so often i get the smell of gas in my car its been happening for a while but i kinda just ignored it by rolling down the windows and breathing some fresh air but im getting to the point now where i really dont like to be smelling gas on the way home from work, friends house, etc... i dont think its to good for me at all but ive checked everywhere in the engine bay and there seem to be no leaks i practically touched everything and anything i could in my bay nothing remotely wet or smelt like gas under the hood im thinking the fuel tank in the back has a leak somewhere can anyone help? ideas anything would be cool!

Check all your hoses and whatnot for leaks?

Check the charcoal cannister. It's probably bad. That's what filters the excess fumes from the gas tank. It's under the fuel filter and to the left a little bit.
