FYI - AEM bought DC Sports
Gotta wonder what plans AEM has for the future. With DC Sports in their stable, they now produce just about every bolt-on that you can get.

AEM Announces the Purchase of DC Sports Inc.—Combining the Best Performance Companies From Air Filter to Exhaust Tip!
January 6th, 2004, Hawthorne, CA—Advanced Engine Management (AEM) is pleased to announce that it has acquired the business of DC Sports Inc. The purchase of DC Sports Inc. brings together two of the pioneer sport compact manufacturers, who collectively deliver products with unmatched performance from air filter to exhaust tip and everything in between!
“We are excited about DC Sports becoming a part of the family,” stated AEM President Greg Neuwirth. “DC Sports built its reputation with leading edge R&D and manufacturing processes, and a high commitment to quality. This quality is well represented in all of DC Sports products and makes them a natural fit with AEM.”
Brothers Darrick and Darrell Contreras founded DC Sports in 1987. The company designs and manufactures headers, exhaust systems, strut bars, tie rods and accessories for the sport compact market at its 60,000 square-foot facility in Corona, California. DC Sports utilizes the latest technology to create innovative designs and unmatched fitment including computerized CNC lathes, mills and benders, and robotic plasma cutters and robotic welders. All products are dyno-tested on the company’s Dynapack Chassis dyno or Dynamic Testing Systems dyno to guarantee unmatched performance.
Commented DC Sports’s Darrell Contreras, “This acquisition could not have come at a better time. We’ve been hard at work developing products for Chevy, Hyundai, Infiniti, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, SCION, Subaru, Toyota and VW. Having AEM’s marketing and distribution resources behind us will get these products to market faster and allow us to grow at an exponential rate in the future!”
DC Sports will retain its name, and all R&D and manufacturing for DC Sports Inc. will remain in Corona, California. Darrick and Darrell Contreras will continue product development and engineering, and oversee manufacturing. All accounting, sales, and administrative duties will be conducted at AEM/DC Sports headquarters at 2205 126th Street, Unit A, Hawthorne, CA 90250. Any correspondence for DC Sports should be mailed to the preceding address. Telephone calls and faxes should be directed to AEM/DC Sports headquarters at (310) 484-2322, and (310) 484-0152 fax.

Re: (xavior66)
They will try to take over the world next!
Good to hear this I guess. I love both brands, soooo....
I wonder once DC Sports runs out of current product, my next header and exhaust will have "AEM" stamped or welded on it.
Give them a turbo kit and N2O system.........I'd rock all their products! Never had a problem with either companies product.

Re: FYI - AEM bought DC Sports (horror)
I was really looking forward to a DC SPORTS header. What's another alternative? I don't want AEM for anything except pullies...maybe.

Aem never made a header or exhaust system, so its not like they're trying to buy up their main competition....</TD></TR></TABLE>
They did make an exhaust system, it was a promo item, and never went into production.

Re: FYI - AEM bought DC Sports (C00SI)
Didn't DC come out before AEM? DC has a history of racing and to be one of the most popular and sucessful aftermarket retailers for Honda it's weird to see DC as an "AEM Performance Brand".

Just another interesting tid-bit... I've got an AEM rear sway bar... My guess is that they are going for one-stop shopping for all of your aftermarket needs... brakes... intakes... headers... exhaust... engine management... suspension is the only missing piece...
Would be interesting to see ... Ground Control... An AEM performance brand
