fuse keeps blowing

Default fuse keeps blowing

driving along one night flip on the brights radio goes off, 3 aftermarket gauges go off, oil press gauge wont read oil pressure, tach wont read rpm (aftermarket)...saw the ac heater fuse was blown along with the radio clock one...replaced the radio one and its fine what the hell is going on with the other ones i replaced the ac heater fuse and it keeps blowing the gauges are hooked up to the option prong above the fuses on the cockpit fuse box

wheres your 12 volt source coming from for the aftermarket pieces?

there is a good chance that you are overloading one of your main 12v lines and its cooking if you keep it up fuses are going to seem like heaven when you start to smell burning wires or you are standing on the side of the road with your date next to the pretty fire that was your car you need to run a new low guage powerline to hook up all of your aftermarket electronics and getting a bigger alternator will save you some major headaches along with a yellowtop optima your local stereo shop should have all the nifty stuff you need to do the line with a fuse block for about 60 bucks

im getting the power form the option prongs above the fuse box they ar only on when the car is on...i tried using the add a circuit thing and the 10 amp fuse i put in for the gauges is blowing is that because im trying the put 3 guage powers into the same power source

yes it is, you can tap into the main wire so long as you fuse it, before hand though, you have to look up the specs on the gauges to see how many amperes they they need at what rated voltage.

please dont parallel the power wires on a small gauge, youll end up running with less resistance and melting your wires.
